Chrome-platable to a limited extent, yet polishable, erodible, nitratable, etchable and can be quenched and tempered. Good thermal conductivity. Particularly for rapid repairs to aluminium, magnesium and zinc die-cast moulds, punches and sliders. Hardness in the 1st layer up to 58 HRC depending on the dilution.
