The SPEED LAP lapping sticks work quickly and reliably during stock removal and offer many advantages:

- every other grit can be omitted

- even, gentle work

- prevents scratches

- the properties of the metallic component prevent the formation of orange peel through combined lapping and polishing work

- good stock removal rates with low surface roughness

- The lapping sticks can be sharpened to a point and retain their shape, so that even sharp inner edges are easy to process

SPEED LAP means a reduction in working stages, time saving and enhancement of surface quality

Preparation of the lapping sticks:

- adapt the lapping sticks to approximate the geometry to be processed (new steel file, diamond film)

Grit sizes:

- lapping can be performed down to 1 µ

- every other grit size can be omitted (e.g. instead of 6 µ-3 µ-1 µ now 6 µ-1 µ)

- after the preparatory work with joke Magic Stone grit size 600, lapping with 6 µ can be performed on readily polishable steels, otherwise with 9 µ.

- the diamond compound should be sufficiently diluted with fluid.

- work with light pressure for about 2/3 of the working stage and without pressure for the last third (finishing).

- use full speed in linear motion with a rather short stroke and max. 3000 rpm for rotary processing
